چکیده
†Cratoelcana rasnitsyni sp. nov., new elcanid species, and †Pseudoacrida sennlaubi locustopsid are described from the Lower Cretaceous Crato Formation in Brazil, on basis of two well-preserved compression fossils. The genus previously comprised its type species zessini damianii whose placement is doubtful could belong to †Mimelcana UK. was only known China. pattern colouration tegmen nov. strongly differs that zessini. presence rounded coloured or hyaline spots middle seems be very frequent among species. On venation colouration, there probably no less than five different Elcanidae Formation; them remain described. palaeobiogeography †Elcanidae †Locustopsidae discussed, especially concerning for Gondwana faunas.

A new scoliid wasp in the Early Cretaceous Crato Formation in Brazil (Hymenoptera: Scoliidae).
The new genus and species of scoliid wasp Araripescolia magnifica Nel, Escuillie & Garrouste, gen. et sp. nov. is described from the Early Cretaceous Crato formation in Brazil. It seems to be more closely related to the modern Campsomerinae than to the other Cretaceous Scoliidae: Archaeoscoliinae and Proscoliinae.

An annotated list of 39 species in 25 genera and seven subfamilies of the pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Tetrididae) from Thailand is given; from these 18 species are recorded from this country for the first time. Five new species are described: Cotysoides gaponi sp. nov. (subfamily Metrodorinae), Eucriotettix anisyutkini sp. nov., Gavialidium bufocrocodil sp. nov., Scelimena bellula sp. nov. ...
متن کاملA Basal Tapejarine (Pterosauria; Pterodactyloidea; Tapejaridae) from the Crato Formation, Early Cretaceous of Brazil
A three-dimensional and almost complete pterosaur mandible from the Crato Formation (Early Cretaceous of Northeastern Brazil), Araripe Basin, is described as a new species of a tapejarine tapejarid. Tapejarines are a particular group of toothless pterosaurs, characterized by well-developed cranial crests, downturned rostra, and have been proposed to represent frugivorous flying reptiles. Though...
متن کاملA new angiosperm from the Crato Formation (Araripe Basin, Brazil) and comments on the Early Cretaceous monocotyledons.
The Crato Formation paleoflora is one of the few equatorial floras of the Early Cretaceous. It is diverse, with many angiosperms, especially representatives of the clades magnoliids, monocotyledons and eudicots, which confirms the assumption that angiosperm diversity during the last part of the Early Cretaceous was reasonably high. The morphology of a new fossil monocot is studied and compared ...
متن کاملA new Cretaceous terrestrial ecosystem from Gondwana with the description of a new sauropod dinosaur.
A unique site at the northern area of Patagonia (Neuquén, Argentina) reveals a terrestrial ecosystem preserved in a detail never reported before in a Late Cretaceous deposit. An extraordinary diversity and abundance of fossils was found concentrated in a 0.5 m horizon in the same quarry, including a new titanosaur sauropod, Futalognkosaurus dukei n.gen., n.sp, which is the most complete giant d...
